Abstract

This study can be regarded as a continuation of our work on the cognitive aspect, dealing with its analytical tools in approaching texts critically. We had previously benefited from the givens of cognitive semantics in analyzing a theatrical text in a preceding study, and we had benefited in another study (this study may be considered as a complement to it) from the givens of cognitive grammar to analyze the main title of the poetry collection, “Zama’un Azraq ” by Hawraa Al-Humaili, and the titles of its poems. Further, the study will continue to examine the texts of the collection themselves in accordance with the perspective of cognitive grammar. This study can also approach what this poetry collection provides us with in terms of revealing tools that can be used critically, examining and analyzing the texts, considering these texts as codes through which we can decipher mental concepts, and process their structuration. At the beginning of the study, we will remind readers of the theoretical framework of the study, which we discussed in part in the two previous studies we referred to. Lastly, we will summarize the discussion, adding what we have not alluded to in these studies whenever necessary.
