About the Magazine

The Linguist Magazine is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, published quarterly by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, focusing on publishing serious studies and research in linguistics. The journal aims to be a scientific platform for researchers and academics in theoretical and applied linguistics, seeking to support scientific dialogue on modern language issues. The journal’s mission stems from its commitment to developing linguistic research in Arab culture and keeping pace with scientific developments. It also seeks to build bridges between researchers from various disciplines by supporting interdisciplinary studies between linguistics and humanities and social sciences. Its topics include theoretical linguistics (phonetics, grammar, semantics, pragmatics), and applied linguistics such as language teaching, computational linguistics, text analysis, translation, and terminology. The journal adheres to strict academic publishing standards, accepting only original unpublished research that undergoes double-blind peer review according to APA 7th edition. Each submission must include abstracts in both Arabic and English, a brief biography, and an electronic copy in the journal’s approved format. The journal confirms that the opinions expressed represent their authors, and the journal neither provides financial compensation for publication nor charges fees.
