Minimalism and Control
Norbet Hornstein and Jairo Nunes
Abstract
This study re-examines a range of issues related to the traditional approach to Control Theory. In addition, it presents a set of theoretical and empirical arguments that reveal the weaknesses of this approach. It also provides evidence for the possibility of assimilating control and raising structures and unifying their derivation in a manner consistent with minimalist assumptions.
