Abstract

This chapter serves as a general overview of the DiscourseHistorical Approach (DHA). It starts by providing a concise history of the approach and its relevance in the domain of critical discourse studies. Then, the writer offers a glimpse into DHA’s theoretical background and methodology, and methods. Furthermore, the chapter explains the distinguishing characteristics of the approach and its research interests. In addition, the article outlinesthe steps needed for a researcher to follow so as to apply this specific. Finally, the writer refersto the remarks on DHA’sfuture challenges.
