Since its first issues, Al-Lisan magazine has shown clear distinction and and a unique identity, which quickly earned it the attention and trust of readers, linguists, and researchers, and established its foothold in the linguistic scene both inside and outside Morocco. This was due to the depth, novelty, and seriousness of the research published in it, to which a number of well-known researchers contributed.

Since the magazine ceased publication after releasing its first four issues, researchers and interested parties from within Morocco and abroad have continued to express their desire to publish in it. This is why we have made the resumption of publication of this serious scientific platform one of our priorities, as part of a general strategy aimed at promoting scientific research in our institution by encouraging all relevant initiatives.

We are delighted to present this new issue of the magazine to our readers today, and we sincerely hope that the magazine will continue to serve scientific research in general, and linguistic research in particular, providing researchers with useful new information in the field of linguistics, in which our institution has always been a pioneer at both the local and Arab levels.

I would like to thank Mr. Hafiz E. Alawi, the magazine’s director and editor-in-chief, for his kind efforts and great dedication to ensuring that the magazine remains under the umbrella of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Mohammed V University in Rabat. I would also like to thank all the members of the editorial board for their support for this outstanding scientific project. We hope that the magazine will continue to be published regularly.
