Linguist magazine adheres to rigorous academic publishing standards, accepting original research that has not been previously published or presented elsewhere. All submitted material undergoes double-blind peer review by specialists, in accordance with APA citation style (7th edition). Submissions must include abstracts in both Arabic and English, a brief biography of the researcher, and an electronic copy of the research edited according to the journal’s approved template.
While the journal emphasizes the quality of the published works, it notes that the opinions expressed in the research papers are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the journal. It also does not offer any financial compensation or charge for publication.

- The magazine publishes original research that has not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
- The material submitted for publication must be related to linguistics, whether it be theoretical and applied studies and research, or scientific translations.
- Research should adhere to accepted scientific principles.
- Research papers are accepted in accordance with the publication conditions stipulated on the magazine's website.
- The number of search words shall not be less than 5,000 words and not more than 9,000 words, including appendices.
Terms and conditions for publishing book reviews:
- The magazine publishes reviews of recent publications, whether translated into Arabic or not.
The following basic conditions must be taken into account when displaying books
- The referenced book should be within the scope of the journal's interests.
- The selection of books should be based on objective criteria: the importance of the book, its scientific value, its contribution to the field of knowledge, and the usefulness of its presentation and review.
- The book must have been published within the last five years.
- The book must have been published within the last five years.
The review must also take into account the following conditions:
- Reference to the title of the book, its author, chapters, number of pages, place of publication, and date of publication.
- A brief introduction to the author of the book and the translator (if the book has been translated into Arabic).
- Understanding the book's basic introductions: objectives, general content, sources and references, methodology, contents
- Presenting the contents of the book in a comprehensive manner and analyzing them in detail, focusing on the most important ideas and main themes, and using critical tools and a comparative approach between it and well-known references in the field under study.
- The number of words in a review ranges between 2,000 and 3,000 words, and reviews of up to 4,000 words are accepted if they focus on analysis and comparison.
Documentation in the magazine:
The magazine adopts the American Psychological Association (APA) documentation system, 7th edition.
Required attachments for publication:
Attached to research submitted for publication in the magazine
- Original research If the research is translated, with full documentation of the original text
- A summary of the research in Arabic and another in English. No less than 250 words and no more than 300 words
- List of keywords (no fewer than five words and no more than seven words)
- A brief biography of the researcher (no more than 200 words) in Arabic and English
- Detailed CV of the researcher
Publication procedures:
- Submit all materials to the magazine website (create a publication request)
- The researcher will receive a notification that their research has been submitted once the submission requirements have been met.
- The magazine undertakes to notify the author of the research within a maximum period of ten days of its acceptance or rejection. and submit it to the arbitrators if it meets the magazine's publication requirements and standards.
- Submit materials that meet publication standards for confidential review.
- The researcher shall be informed of the arbitration results (acceptance or rejection) within a maximum period of one month from the date of notification that the material submitted meets the formal requirements and has been presented to the arbitrators.
- If the reviewers request amendments to any research, the researcher shall be informed thereof.
- The magazine requires researchers to adhere to editing and linguistic proofreading standards. In accordance with the conditions applicable in international competitions
- The magazine reserves the right to republish the research in any format it deems useful. and notify the researcher thereof
- No material may be published after it has been reviewed and accepted for publication and its author has been notified thereof.
- The magazine does not pay financial compensation for the materials it publishes. And she does not charge any fees for publication.
